Here are some samples of works written in YDO's Journalism program:

Today in journalism , we have been interviewing people about many different things . Our recent interview was about extra curricular activities that kids at Phillips Academy are into . Everyone took the paper and writing utensil , and they were on their way to the commons. Lymarie Santana and I had been partners in this activity so we interviewed about 7 people together . Some of the students had said they do volunteering , double dutch , debating , photography , and the philllipian . The phillipian is the Phillips academy school news paper . Many people, write for it . Those are just some of the things they do ! If you were actually with us , you would hear a whole lot of different things that NO ONE really knows about , other than P.A kids . Other than interviewing , we have been working with Gladys Gitau and Y-binh Neguyen on a project called " Whats good in the hood " we have been working on one main topic . Which is what do people think about Lawrence . You'd be surprised on what people have to say. Some live in Lawrence, others in Andover . other people haven't even heard about it . Which isn't very exciting . So were going to point out the good and bad in Lawrence . As in Pro's and Con's . We have a pretty good logo for that topic as well . Followed by a quote . The logo would be an eye drawn by Lymarie Santana . The quote would say " View lawrence from a different angle " written by me . This is whats happening in YDO Journalism . I have volunteered to assist YDO on the website , to keep everyone posted. What im going to be doing is that I will go to any YDO program that I would like to interview and pick a couple of students who would like to answer a couple of questions . So , I will some how come up with an entry in which tells what the program is about and what the participants think about it . This is a good opportunity for both myself and everyone in Youth Development Organization programs . That is because I will get to enjoy meeting other people from other programs that I do not interact with . I have been with YDO for 2 years now , and I go to Journalism , and Photography . My two favorite things ! Being the student voice for YDO was not any ones choice , I just decided that people should be more involved in this website . It is very improtant to come back and skim by here to check if theres anything you need to know is posted . Well , all in all I am glad to be the student voice for YDO . See you soon :)
