It is hands-on engineering at its best at Design Camp at UMass Lowell. Every summer, about 10-15 YDO Students receive scholarships to attend this unique program that invites students to work their way through a variety of engineering projects. Led by Doug Prime, founder of the Future Engineers Center, and Assistant Director, Michael Penta, Design Camp offered experiences in Crime Science, Robo Alley, Flight School and Tech Creations. All of our students jump into programs that pose design challenges, rewarding their open and curious minds. Additionally, YDO alums have interned at this summer program.
