During Science Olympiad, Phillips Academy volunteers teach YDO students various sciences in preparation for a statewide and national competition, the Science Olympiad Division B held at Assumption College in Worchester, MA. The competition features over 20 events in different sciences, ranging anywhere from ecology to engineering. This program selects around seven of these events to actively prepare students for. The goal of the program is to use competition as a means to inspire and motivate YDO students and challenge them with a taste of high school science.
