First started in December 2008, Hip-Hop Dance meets regularly on Wednesday evenings to provide a creative outlet for middle school students in dance. Beginning with a warm-up, the bulk of hip-hop classes consist of the students learning new choreography and splitting into groups to choreograph their own dances. The classes compound on one another to produce finished and exciting routines, which our YDO dancers perform in a show with Phillips Academy's hip-hop dance group, Hypnotiq, in the spring term.
