YDO Alumnus Wins Prestigious Federal Fellowship

In a first for YDO, we are thrilled to share that Victor Rivera, Jr. been awarded the Harry S. Truman Scholarship.
A YDO Kid since 4th Grade, Victor is a junior in the Honors Program at Marist College and one of only 55 students selected nationwide for this prestigious federal fellowship. The Harry S. Truman Scholarship is designed to support students who have demonstrated academic excellence, a commitment to service and leadership, and a plan to pursue further studies in public service. Victor is Marist’s (and YDO’s) first Truman Scholar! Though this program, he will receive up to $30,000 in funding for graduate education and access to a national network of scholars and mentors.
At YDO, Victor was a selfless student leader, dedicated to his peers and to our orgnaization, and we could not be more proud!
