Alethea Raybeck

Director of Postsecondary Pathways

Alethea came to YDO in November 2019, bringing with her more than twenty years of experience in program development, college access and higher ed administration.  As YDO’s Director of Postsecondary Pathways, Alethea has been responsible for scaling up our college access and postsecondary planning program to provide vital support and guidance to high school students in the Lawrence Public School system.

Before her tenure at YDO, Alethea served as the founding Director of Pre-College Programs at Tufts University, overseeing eight different summer programs in subjects ranging from coding to international relations. Prior to that, she honed her knowledge of higher education, admissions, and program development through stints at Bentley and Brandeis Universities. As program director at the Posse Foundation’s Boston office, she oversaw the implementation of that program from Scholar selection through to graduation and beyond, supporting hundreds of high school seniors, college students, and Posse Alumni. She is a graduate of Williams College and earned an MFA in Creative Writing from University of Michigan.

In addition to her work at YDO, Alethea is also active on the DEI Counselor Advisory Board for the College of Holy Cross and the Lawrence Unafraid Scholarship Committee.
