Coral Sabino

Associate Director of Postsecondary Pathways

Coral joined YDO in 2007 in 7th grade as part of the first Math Games program. She was part of the first group of YDO students to attend the MIT STEM summer program. She was also the founding Director of YDO summer in 2014.

Coral graduated from Brooks School in 2013, and attended the University of Chicago as a Questbridge Scholar. She moved back to Lawrence in the summer of 2019, while she worked as a Tax Professional at a local bookkeeping and payroll service. Shortly after moving, Coral became a tax associate at H&R Block. She rejoined the YDO Team as a volunteer for the High School Prep program, and by summer of 2022, she was hired full time as the associate director of Postsecondary Pathways. Coral continues to leverage her tax network and expertise, supporting students and families through their financial aid process in applying to college.

Before YDO, Coral had accepted her future to be more narrow within the possibilities of its success. However, the way that the YDO team back then invested time in her opened doors that allowed Coral to imagine a future without limits. She considers it an honor to partner with the youth in the Lawrence community, guiding them in exploring options and opportunities that will empower them to forge their own paths in life. She is a self-proclaimed “professional YDO kid” and truly calls this community home.
