MA Representative DiZoglio Visits YDO

On Tuesday, October 18th, MA Representative Diana DiZoglio (14th Essex District) toured YDO’s facility in the Everett Mill for the first time.
The Representative spent the majority of her visit talking with students about their YDO programs and their passions. Being at YDO on a Tuesday meant that DiZoglio could see each of the following programs in action:
- Electric Inventions in YDO’s STEM Design Lab
- Food Art with Adam & Anieda
- Dance with Yashira
- STEMinistas with partner Science Club for Girls
- Future City with civil engineering students from UML
Yes, politics came up in conversation. One 6th grader, in particular, Karla S. of the Parthum Middle School, offered some strong views on the presidential race between Clinton and Trump. It was clear that DiZoglio would have spent all night talking to the kids if she could; her passion for youth engagement was sincere and a great fit for the YDO environment.
